Help! I'm trying to figure out an issue with getting our satellite signal to work. We have TWC providing us with cable and internet and DISH Network for just a few channels. Up until very recently we were able to view the satellite channels via one channel only (OK with us) but after some work was done recently to improve the modem signal and cable signal (some channels were not showing up) we were not able to get the satellite signal back on as it would throw off some tv's completely (no picture). Our tech said that the best solution was to separate the modem signal from cable when it comes into the house. This is after he redid some things and spent over 12 hours working on the connections (added splitters, amps). Anyway, right now we don't have the satellite connected. My tech is supposed to be working on getting me a proposal for separating the modem signal and then set up the satellite signal back again but I have not heard anything for a week. Note that we have 14 tv's in this house. Someone else said that it might be better to run cables directly to some tv's from the satellite. Not that easy but may be possible. Anyone has any input I would really appreciate it.
