Linsanity hasn’t been as Linsane lately. Wednesday night against the San Antonio Spurs was another example. Taking on 2007 Finals MVP Tony Parker, Jeremy Lin was held in check while the Spurs defeated the New York Knicks by a final score of 118-103.
Parker, who is starting to generate some MVP talk, had 32 points and six assists on 12-for-19 shooting from the field. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili each added 17 points for the Spurs.
Lin finished with 20 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals, however he picked up eight of those points in the final minutes when the game was out of reach. The Knicks were led in scoring by Carmelo Anthony, who had 27 points on 12-for-24 shooting from the floor.
The win improved the Spurs to 26-12 as they remain in the second spot in the Western Conference. The Knicks, on the other hand, dropped to 18-21 and are hanging on the playoffs in the Eastern Conference by a thread.
