Windows Vista home premium,I changed the start menu so that the music, pictures etc. would open with sub-menus. It was ok for a while and then the problem appeared: when I point to one of the options (music, for example) the sub-menu appears but when I try to point to items in it they don't highlight, no further sub-menus appear, and when I click on them it's as if I clicked directly on the desktop, the start menu disappears. if I click with the right mouse button the start menu disappears and the desktop right mouse button menu appears.I rolled back to a restore point, which fixed the problem, but every couple of weeks the problem comes back and I have to restore again
