[QUOTE="CasualCatastrophe, post: 2504653, member: 847135"] I have a '98 Jeep Wrangler Sport with a 4" suspension lift and 2" transfer case drop to help the driveline angles. I can't afford a slip yoke eliminator and cv driveshaft right now which I know is the way to go. I noticed last night when I was driving on the highway that there is an audible pulsating popping or rattling coming from somewhere under the Jeep. If I hold the clutch in and let off the gas so the vehicle is coasting then it goes silent, the noise only happens under load from the engine. The sound gets louder then quiet in a pulse about every 2 seconds. I have my fingers crossed that it's just driveline vibes in the u-joints. Is there any way to tell where it's coming from for sure while driving it? I'm nervous that it's the tranny or transfer case or my ring and pinions because it's got a new transmission and new ring and pinions and the r&p's already fried once because of improper installation by the shop.
