My husband's ex was financially responsible for their son and my husband for their daughter. Both are now over 18 and since we have been together 2 1/2 years now, we pay for school clothing, supplies, and now we are paying for his high school graduation party and debts associated with it, ie Senior all night party, year book, cap and gown, etc. She pays for nothing. She couldn't handle the task of making sure he even graduated high school so my sister in law allows him to stay with her. The school in her area has the most relaxed graduation standard in the State and that is the only way he could graduate. The ex has the money to commute to work over 40 miles each way so she can live with her boyfriend (he doesn't like either one of the kids), they drink and smoke pot. She has gotten several tattoos and piercings. She's a train wreck. I don't know how she can live with herself and turn her back on her kids like that and not own up to her responsibility. I guess it doesn't matter where you live in the world, their are terrible and irresponsible people everywhere. Best wishes to you and your family. I know your partners child will grow up respecting you and appreciate everything you do for them.
