Still curious about laptops under $600.- Gizmo didn't review these models. Please

advise? The G530 Lenovo on sale has the following specs: 3GB Memory, 160 GB HD, Intel GMA 4500M Graphics Card, 64 bits, DVD optical drive (does this mean CD's, too?). I want to do light graphic work, desktop publishing, downloading my pictures from my digital camera, plus the usual stuff. Oh, it's an Intel Dual Core Processor. Asus and Acer One, also on sale, are both supposed to be okay, but I'm not sure of the specs - similar, though. And I've heard good things about the Acer One netbooks, and know nothing about the notebooks. Dell and Toshiba might be on sale as well.
 
A good price, probably last years models, that still can be upgraded to 7? DVD play generally means dual layer, either cd/dvd as blue ray drives do all 3 media. lenovo not a great fan of, only popular since last olympics as a sponsor? Would go for Asus, Toshiba or Acer
