it be cleaned? I ran out of cleaner, so If I just put the resiny downtube in the dish washer will it be cleaned?
 
Try soaking in alcohol. I don't mean whiskey, I mean isopropyl alcohol... and shake it around. That will help a bit then take a tooth pick or a chopstick and clean the inside.

The shops that sell hubblys often have all kinds of pipe/bottle cleaners that work like a charm.
