Greetings Street Fighter fans!
Ryu is one of the most famous Street Fighter character and one of the first fighting game heroes around. The storyline of Street Fighter took place in a strange fashion. First came Street Fighter... and the Alpha series (2 and 3), then Street Fighter II, recently Street Fighter 4 and then lastly Street Fighter III series. Ryu has gotten insanely stronger after Alpha (overcoming is Dark Hadou... or Satsu no Metsu.)
Now Super Street Fighter 4 came out... The first thing I've noticed is that Ryu has the "Metsu Shoruken" (Which looks like the Shin Shoryuken on steriods) and "Metsu Hadouken."
Now, if I recall, both of those moves were meant for Ryu while under the influence of the Dark Hadou and Gouki!
How is Ryu able to use those moves without being taken over by the Dark Hadou? Or did he somehow adapt those moves so that they are non-lethal... (Ryu's fighting style was actually meant to destroy an opponent as quickly as possible but the fighting style is toned down after being taught by Gouken)
Note: Ryu's Metsu Shoryuken was used on Sagat in very beginning and it scarred his chest...
Ryu's Metsu Hadouken is also a lethal move used by both Evil Ryu and Gouki.
My guess is that Ryu re-learned the moves and toned them done so that it be extremely painful but does not kill the opponent. That's the only explaination I can come up with.
Does anyone have any clues to why Ryu has these Super Moves in SF 4? Please confirm...
Thank you all and best wishes to all.
