1998 GMC yukon. I have new michelin tires, u-joints, front shocks. Rear shocks are good. The vibration can be felt in the seat not from the steering wheel. All suspention parts test good. Last alignment was about 6 months ago. Vibration can be felt durring acceleration, cruising and slowing and braking. Virbration goes away at stop and idle.

I had this problem. It was caused by a bent drive shaft. I bent it on a low-set lane divider. It took me 3 months to figure out the cause. In another vehicle,I needed a driveshaft built and I got a great one from Mr Driveshaft (I kid you not) in Farmingdale,NJ

If the u-joints were installed improperly (binding) then you'll get this vibration. Sometimes driveshafts get damaged by people who use large hammers when they drive out the u-joints. If you have a bent wheel in the back this can also contribute to a vibration.

Make sure your new u-joints are centered properly. this is a little risky, jack up the rear wheels, block the fronts real good, start the engine and put it in drive only at an idle and hold something close to the drive shaft to see if is out of alignment or bent a little bit. Beeee careful.
