I am still unknown to the cellular world. I am on T-Mobile's plan that does not have data, it's something like 1500 talk minutes and unlimited text. I have a phone that uses a normal SIM card and I have a Galaxy SIII (Verizon unlocked) that I finally got, but requires a Micro-SIM card.

I know that swapping from SIM to Micro-SIM has a fee.

My questions are:
1. Can I keep my old number?
2. Will I be charged with data?

Please reply, thanks!

*Please do not suggest cutting my SIM.

You can call T-mobile customer service, then they will send you a micro-sim card for FREE. They mailed me a new micro-sim for free in December, just ask nicely. Officially I believe they are suppose to charge you $9 if I recall correctly.

You can keep your previous number, just ask when you activate your new micro-sim card.

You will NOT be charged unless you pay for a data plan, again just ask customer service.
