syrian (teddy bear) hampster question..when a cage wall is between 2 of them,

will they fight through the bars? well we have a huge cage. its a bit longer then a meter and pretty tall to. we want and are prepared for teddy bear hampstes but they fight when they get older and we want two.

we want to put a divider in the middle of the cage. will they be mad and stuff? stick there arms out and fight throught the bars?
if we make a divider from wood, would they chew it???

I'm sorry to say but yes they will chew on the wood. Maybe try a thicker piece of wood and make sure the hamsters have the same stuff like 2 wheels and 2 food dishes and that kind of stuff. My hamsters are very picky and don't eat from each others food bowls or if one hamster chews on a chew stick the other hamster won't touch it so.. lot's of experience
