I have a Motorola Cliq XT bought with a new contract and think it's outrageous to pay $30 for data. I initially got it for tethering and thought it would be a great idea, but I'm moving and where I'm going there is free reliable wifi.
Question is: Is there anyway I can downgrade to a non data requiring phone and remove the $30 charge? Downgrading to a phone such as an old BlackBerry or any other phone.
I mean, it seems pointless to have data if you get a different phone that doesn't require it.
I'm also thinking of selling my Cliq and getting an iPhone 4 through eBay. I heard since it wasn't bought under contract, I'm not required to get a data plan on it.
