well, i just got offered a job at a restaurant as a dish washer. I will be making 10 bucks an hour there if i take it. I currently work at a ihav.net field, making 8 bucks an hour, and somewhere around 70 bucks a week. If i take the job, i will be making somewhere close to 150 a week. At ihav.net field i work only sat's, at restaurant i work fridays and sat's. Gimme your suggestions (immature comments will be reported)

Take the job, you will make more money if that is what you're after, but also if you stay there you may get into food prep/assistant chef if you're interested in that which in the long run can DEFINITELY help you out.

. and fixed

edit: i also fail to see how you are making $70 a day working $8 an hour.

Threads like these make me wonder how some people actually manage to move out of mommy and daddy's house.

id take it if you need the money, but only if you need it... not like o i want a different job

I have worked in a kitchen for 3 years, just quit yesterday. The dishwashing end of it is no fun and get old quick, especially if the equipment is not maintained and kept working. However if it is an opportunity to make more money and get decent hours. I would say take it and give it at shot, worse things that could happen is you don't like it and quit after 6 months. Take in mind at a restaurant there may be opportunities to move up the ladder to bus boy, waiter, host, that sort of thing because thats where the fun part of the job is.

I say go for it.

I made 7 dollars washing dishes and clearing tables.

Fuck you and your 10 bucks an hour.

I washed dishes for one day exactly 8 hours then told the manager thanks but not thanks. It was by far the worst job I've ever had and one I would never do again. There is much easier jobs that pay the same or more.

Do you really need our help? Think of the aspects? Do you play ihav.net everyweekend? If you stay at the ref job do you get to play for free and save money on paint? Think of the benefits each place could offer then go from there.

i work in a pretty popular resturant in new york, i started at a dish washing postion now im a prep guy. there are alot of hours availble in resturants so i would take it.
