My little boy has just turned 6 months. I started introducing solids (homemade fruit & veg purees) and he took them well for a week. Now he's started teething and won't take solids. Understandably he doesn't want to be spoon fed when he's in pain. Should I stop solids until teething calms down or keep going with purees or give some food that can be put into his bottle. I'm totally lost and haven't got a clue what I should do. Please advise me if you can, I would really appreciate it. Thanks x

My 9 month old son did the same thing when he was teething. I would still offer solids like I did before, but I didn't force it on him (like you're probably doing also). Sometimes he would only take one bite. That's fine.

Things should get back to normal shortly.

You don’t want to put any purees in a baby bottle. Just keep offering with a spoon. It’s ok if he only has a bite or two. He’ll still be getting the majority of his nutrition from milk/formula.

don't put food in a bottle. You are basically feeding him solids with a spoon to get him used to eating food normally its not really that big of a deal if he doesn't want to eat the food for a couple of days while he is teething. just try and see how he feels if it doesn't work try again tomorrow.

Keep offering them once a day, but its okay if he only takes a couple bites. But I would keep offering. Teething can last a LONG time, depending on the baby.
