Telus iphone 3G with a Fido Simcard?

I currently own a LG L7.
I pay $25 for a monthly plan and am not on a contract.
recently i was given a telus iphone 3G with no contract or anything as it was my boyfriends old phone.
Is it possible just to put my LG L7 simcard into the iphone?
if so how?
