Well, after finally biting the bullet and signing on to At&t's smartphone data plan for my Samsung Epix, I was appalled that they cut the unlimited plans out. So, i'm capped on 2 gigabits of bandwidth for this month...
Well, even with that little amount (i'll probably blow through it in 2 weeks), i, of course, want to tether my laptop. I ride public transportation to work, and if i'm going to be on the internet, i'd rather it be with my laptop. I've already enabled it, using it now, matter of fact (images disabled, of course).
Question is, what does it take for At&t to notice that i'm tethering? Because from what i've heard, once they find that out, they'll try to tack on a $40 tethering charge IN ADDITION to my already-audacious $25 extra a month.
In addition, my parents pay the bills (i pay them for my line, so i can get the discount family rate), and i'll be straight-forward. I just turned 18, and want to watch porn on my phone. Does At&t keep logs of the sites you visit with 3G, visible to the account holder?
