After emergency surgery he seems to doing well. Doctors say his balance is good which is a positive sign and he is starting to talk again. The cougar, which is a stealth predator, made no noise as it seized Julian who had wandered a short distance up a trail. A friend saw Julain in the cougars mouth and yelled to get his fathers attention. The cougar released Julian and lunged for his 4 year old sister before being frightened away by the adults. Thank God he is recovering. Remember to be very careful when hiking or camping in the wild. I hope this beast is found and killed soon before it attacks someone else.</blockquote>
