the desert, the gods and cosmic humor?

imagine being marooned in the desert, on an oasis all alone, but you have plenty of food, air and water, but you know that death is inevitable. Now imagine being marooned in the desert with a few people. Now imagine being marooned in the desert with a few people and animals. Now imagine being marooned in the desert with people and animals but then some people begin to poison the wells and the air so that they can call themselves great and have others marvel at their greatness. Now imagine being killed if you do not bow down to their false sense of greatness, for if they were truly greater than the rest, they would not surely die. Now imagine the human race marooned on an oasis called earth in the desert of space. Don't the cosmos have a very humorous sense of humor?

blowing people up is never going to work and your little scenario sounds like fundamentalists and nut cases, terrorists

"Oasis" isn't the word I would use to describe earth.
The people who feel they're better than everyone else aren't helping.
I digress, yes.
Mull this over:
If it's true that our species is alone in the universe, then I'd have to say that the universe aimed rather low and settled for very little.
