The engine light on my dashboard is lit up on My Citroen C2? Help!?

The car has been driving absolutely fine, but I havent moved it for a couple of days over christmas.

I went to go to work today and the engine light came on and the engine seemed sluggish.

Is this just a case of the car getting cold and standing still for a few days or does it sound like it needs to go to the garage???
