I have a ten gallon aquarium with 1 (4 inch) Pictus Catfish and 2 (2 inch) Tiger Barbs. I feel that my Tiger Barbs are being crowded out by my catfish. The catfish is extremely active and never stops moving. Day after day, it moves in circles around the perimeter of my tank. I would like to get a new, larger, aquarium, so I can put 2 Pictus Catfish and 6 Tiger Barbs in it. I have my eye on a 30 gallon with a stand. Would this be sufficient? I asked the employees at the pet store and they said that it would be more than enough room. I'm not convinced, though. Also, can I keep regular Tiger Barbs and Green Tiger Barbs or Albino Tiger Barbs together without aggression issues?
PS. I did not choose the tank setup I have now, my friend gave me the aquarium with the fish already in it.
