The nut that attaches my doors on my 1995 Jeep Wrangler will not come off?

The nut that is holding the door on my 95 Jeep Wrangler will spin but it will not come off. I have tried lubricating it but it not move any farther down the bolt. I have thought about trying to cut the bolt but I don't want to mess up the bolt and not be able to put another nut back on. In addition the bolt and nut are so close to the body of the jeep and I don't want to risk screwing up the paint with the saw.I assume that the treads are messed up on the bolt but any suggestions or advice on getting the nut off so I can take my doors off will be greatly appreciated.
