A rumor starts by someone's telling the rumor to two people on May1. each of those two people are responsible for telling to two others, which they do so on May 2. At this time seven people know the rumor. On May 3 the four who heard it on May 2 each tell two more people. If the rumor process continued until May 20, how many NEW people would hear the rumor on that day? If the rumor process continued for "n" days, how many new people would hear the rumor on that day? What would be the total number of people who know the rumor on that day? Show work. Explain your thinking.
