I was wondering if anyone does Gender studies at uni? I am and i read a piece on the 'silent scream'. I was just wondering how you think this relates to gender and machines (ultrasound) in todays society?

Women's studies courses are like feminist indoctrination camps.

The points of view are not factual, but are taught as such.

It used to be that women's studies preached the "socialization of gender" theories (notice the word "theories" as they have not been proven scientifically by unbiased surveyors or any truly scientific means.) ...but that's getting harder nowadays as we are learning all of the biological ways male/female brains are different.

Science is not on their side.

The completely sexist "patriarchal theories" will have you lumping ALL men into one big group & discriminating against that group.

In a nutshell the "patriarchal theories" suggest male power is ALWAYS negative and should be overturned.

You will see completely false studies about DV cited where statistics are inflated or just plain invented.

(the definition of "abuse" or "rape" are expanded in these studies so no real "abuse" occurs, but the stats are included anyways.)

...& if you study the radicals (that are still welcomed into mainstream feminism and are not denounced) you will have a distorted and sexist view about men highlighted.

Women's studies has no place in academia.

Be careful.

the silent scream is a joke
its like THE flick that antichoicers like to use as *proof* that abortion is wrong...but yet its the only flick of its kind..and older than most of those that whine on the subject

if there was any truth to it..thered be equally well known and more current flicks on the subject...but there arent..gee..I wonder why
