I have a Pioneer DEH P6100BT stereo in my truck with stock speakers. Any time I turn the volume up kinda loud, the stereo will shut off for a few seconds, then turn back on. I'm not sure why it is doing that. I've been told it could be bad wiring, bad stock speakers(like the stock speakers can't put out what the stereo is trying to make them), or the stereo doesnt have enough power or something..? any ideas? The only time it does this is when I have to turn up the volume when I am going down the interstate with my windows down. It's really not all that loud.. but it still shuts down, and then takes maybe 5-10 seconds to start playing again. Oh, and lets say I put the volume around 40... It will play for a few seconds until the song has a big bass note or something, and that's when everything shuts down lol. Any info is appreciated :D Oh, and my truck is a 2004 GMC Canyon 4-door if that helps.. I would like to think it is not the deck itself. It is only like a year or two old, and its a good quality one.. it cost $200.. :/
