The Suns have always denied trade rumors about Nash, why does the media

continue to publish stories about it? Steve is the identity of the Suns and they've constantly and consistently said that they would never trade Nash. Yet Yahoo, ESPN, and even the NBA still write stories about trading Nash. I feel like there are many more interesting and relevant stories that they could write about the Suns, but they still write about trade rumors that they created. Thoughts?
 
If the media did not stir up news about untrue trade rumors of NBA All-Stars, then Sports Center wouldn't be very fun to watch over the winter, during the season.
 
What's the alternative? The Suns say yes, we're actively shopping Nash around the league? Plenty of teams have said that they'll never trade player X, and then a week later the guy is off to the other side of the country.

Make no mistake, the Suns will trade Nash for the right deal.
