I know I watched it either on Sci-fi or Adult Swim
It was about a doctor who was able to save peoples lives after he found something he could cut out of their brains (this thing was green colored)
This thing was dangerous to one's health yet it allowed them to do amazing things like beat world records
In one episode, the doctor was forced to work with a woman to find the cure to a disease. She gave him the disease to force him to find a cure for himself, and herself too.
