Thoughts on Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jeremy Hellickson winning AL Rookie of

Chaos

the Year? Are you surprised? Rookie of the Year:
AL: Jeremy Hellickson of the Tampa Bay Rays...
NL: Craig Kimbrel of the Atlanta Braves... no surprise there

The popular choices, at least on Yahoo Answers, were Mark Trumbo or Ivan Nova. However, Hellickson won 17 of the 28 first place votes and won it pretty easily.

His stats: 29 starts, 13 wins, 10 loses, 189.0 innings, 117 strikeouts, 2.95 ERA, 1.15 whip and 2 complete games

Who was your pick for Rookie of the Year? Did the voters get it right? Were you surprised by their selection?

I actually thought Trumbo and Hellickson were pretty neck in neck in the race. I mean Hellickson definitely was the best rookie pitcher last year and deserved it way more than Nova or Walden. Its just seems that since Trumbo was the only real rookie hitter this year in the mix, I thought he would have a good chance.

But if I had to choose, I personally woulda picked Hellickson. Trumbo's batting average is kinda unattractice.

As for the NL, Kimbrel all day, no one even close.
