Most of the top golfers in the world were at Firestone on Tuesday afternoon preparing for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, but Tiger Woods, Graeme McDowell and Adam Scott had other plans.

All three decided to get in a quick 18 elsewhere before heading to Akron, Ohio. According to the PGA Championship's Twitter account, Woods, McDowell and Scott squeezed in some practice time at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course, site of next week's PGA Championship, on Tuesday.

Woods did the exact same thing right before the U.S. Open, getting in a round at Olympic before the tournament, so this isn't part of some new "game plan" to topple one of the toughest courses on the planet. Plus, when you have seven wins at Firestone, there's a good chance an extra practice session won't make a big difference. The same can be said for Adam Scott (defending WGC-Bridgestone champ) and Graeme McDowell (U.S. Open winner).

Will an extra round at the Ocean Course give them a leg up on the rest of the field? That seems unlikely. But when you have a private jet at your disposal and 24 hours to kill before an interview on Wednesday with the assembled media, getting in some practice at the site of the final major makes sense.
