Time travel trouble shooting: If I were to travel to the past via

wormhole wouldn't I re-appear in outer space? For instance: In Back To The Future, when Marty got into the DeLorien Time Machine and went back to 1955, once he hit 88 miles per hour and went back to 1955 he would be in outer space somewhere close to the orbit of Pluto (or further)-maybe even outside our galaxy depending on how fast our galaxy and our sun are moving in relation to a stationary point in space-time.

Doesn't space-time work on that idea that all of time and space are constant on its grid? If that's true, then the planetary motions don't matter since they are time dependent quantities. When I visualize a wormhole, I see a loophole being opened up by bending space-time to allow two otherwise unconnected areas to meet.

yep, but writers often get around this point by claiming that the scientist accounted for the expansion rate of the universe and usually if they make ut feasible that it was possible to travel through time using wormholes, the wormhole would pay no regards to space either as it is breaking through the dimension in the first place
