Tips for a scared little newbie?

I'm trying out for my school''s production of Hairspray (as ensemble), but I honestly haven't performed in front of people since the forth grade (I'm a senior now, for the record!). I'm a very bubbly, upbeat person, but I'm afraid my nerves will get the best of me and I'll mess up majorly. Could I please have some tips for a successful audition? As well as how I can make my dancing look less...awkward?

Make sure you practice a lot until you feel you are excellent. Then just picture yourself in the position and doing great (which you will) and think positively! The more positive you are, the more likely you will get what you are positive about. The more negative you are, the more likely you will fail. So chin up! Chest out! Shoulders back! And do what you know best!

GOOD LUCK! You'll do great!!!

Once you have all the lines memorised (or you feel ready enough), take a few deep breaths and get ready for your audition. This is going to be the most stressful part of the audition process, so get ready for the plunge by just relaxing. If you can't relax, practise a few more times and keep telling yourself that you are ready for this.
It's best not to brag to others around you how good you are, and it's even worse to talk about how nervous you are. A bunch of nervous people in a room talking about being nervous doesn't make for a happy time.

The link to the whole thing is in sources.
