Tmobile Prepaid phones?

i was wondering... if i can buy a t-mobile on the go sim card i have a t-mobile phone from a preveiously t-mobile my faves contract the contract is over and i want to know with this phone that i have with the old contract can i buy a t-mobile on the go prepaid sim and instert it in my phone oh yeah and i have a t-mobile Samsung T219 (red)
oh yeah can i keep the same number too?
