Ive been a tmobile customer for a while (maybe 4 years?).
my family plan's contract is about to run out.
I hear if I call and threaten to leave they will give me special offers on family plans....what can I expect?
When the contract runs out, all they do is call you to get you to buy new phones and lock you into another 2 year contract. Otherwise, they just keep you going in the same exact plan you had.
Me, I purchased my phone unlocked from eBay, then called T-Mobile and asked to upgrade my plan to one of the newer ones that was supported on my phone. I got rid of older services that were not valid for me anymore, got the full Internet on my phone, and was even able to keep the T-Mobile to T-Mobile calling I had, and my final plan came out to several dollars LESS than what I had been paying before. They were happy to help me as an ongoing customer. I did not have to threaten them with leaving.
