To all Waiting staff!! What are your best tips to a newbie? thanks :)?

As an example, I am waiting at a small table , bringing down a small portion eg. fries, but there is not much room. Do I move drinks? Do I move plates? All the tips you give are much appreciated.
 
Go to work waiting at a place that has bigger tables.
You can have the manager call me.
