MAJOR:
when im starting out of the blocks and he says on ur marks and i get set up and the gun shoots do i just go??
sorry im so parinoid!!!!!

ok your going to expect all the other athletes to be just as nervous as you. you should give it your all since its only a 200 meter and since your in jr try to aim in between 28-35 seconds or so.
as for the on your marks...
when the anouncer says on your marks, get in your ready position, and when the gun goes you begin your race! he will shoot the gun an extra time if there is a false start

ok...first of all...don't be nervous! last year was my first time and i was a sophomore in high school. i had no experience at all and i did fine. minus the fact that im not really the fastest person in the world lol. anyways here goes:

good breathing exercises: in through your nose and out through your mouth when you're running. it saves your breath more.
when you get ready to start out of blocks: to ease your nerves...just jump up and down and take deep breaths. a lot of people do this. once you do that...start kneeling down in your lane and stay in a kneeling position. while you're there for a couple seconds you're gonna hear the announcer say: to your marks...and just stay in place. then he'll go SET: and you lift up a little bit and then the gun shoots and you take off. hope this helps! OH AND BY THE WAY: look up videos of sprinters on youtube too!
