Travelling to India with looots of luggage?

i may be travelling to india with lots of luggage - probably 4 packs. How often do we have customs check at bangalore airport.. ? I dont have lots of electronic / jewel but i do have some. Any idea on what criteria a complete check up will be performed ? What should we indicate as the value of our belongings to the customs officer .. (i have many used clothes and electronics. Few new ones + some semi precious stones)

Any idea?
