Ok i have a 1994 chevy silverado k3500 6.5L turbo diesel, recently my injector pump went out, i had it rebuilt and put it back and re-aligned it and everything, i tried starting it and it cranks for awhile and then will start and run fine? so i thought oh glow plugs bought all new glow plugs but no difference? then i noticed that my oil pressure gauge would lay flat while cranking so i replaced the sending unit made a slight difference nothing drastic tho, so then while my dad was revving i noticed that the vaccum thingy wasnt engaging on the passger side of the turbo my dad said its for cold air or somthing i havent changed that yet because i manually held it open and closed it a few times as he cranked it and there was no change in the turning over. it should just fire right up on the 2 - 4 crank as it did before the injector pump went out could it be that i dont have the injector pump properly in time and i just think i do??? so any suggestions on why a turbo diesel would take so long to start even when its warm would be greatly appreciated
the battery's are bran spanking new as of 2 months ago...

It sounds like the injector pump wasn't rebuilt properly. I've seen this before... sometimes the people doing the rebuild just don't know what they're doing, or it was a trainee. It happens... more than it should.

It is also possible that it isn't timed right, but you don't think so? Maybe.

Take the injector pump back. The truck should start right up... after the glow plugs have warmed up, of course.
