If there is a lot of rooom under the seats (I haven't done a tacoma in a long time), then you can probably build a box for a compact sub under the seat.
Otherwise you can put it on the seat itself, but you should strap it down using high-grade straps (they're like seatbelts). I know people who have died in rollovers because of loose sub boxes
