The book starts with an earthquake near a school. It splits a part of the town into another dimension - Some kind of white void, where that bit of the town is now just floating now. There is some evil entity which possesses dead people and brings them back to life in that place too. I'm sure the main character is a young guy called Jay.. I know there are a lesbian couple in it and some other young woman..
I'm sure some of the chapters were named 'The diary of jay....something something'. And others named 'The ordeal of... something something'...
I just can't for the life of me remember the name of the book or the name of the evil entity...
I think the book might have even been a trilogyy..
