Someone is asking me what it means, when Turbo C++ won't work and says "Invalid program file name, please check your pif file?"

Thanks so much to anyone who can help.

Odds are that the working directory for launch of the program is not the same directory that holds the starting executable. Turbo Pascal looks for the .pif file in the "current directory" (no path). Turbo C may do the same.

evn i m gettin that error..!!!!!
so....wat exctly v need to do 4 tht..????

u probably tried to open wrong file.
i encountered the same problem when i installed it 1st time.
go to the location where u installed turbo C, for eg. C:\TC\BIN. in that there will be a .exe file named "TC".
right click/"Send To"/"Desktop (create shortcut)".
now open the shortcut in desktop. that's how it worked for me.

16 bit error or pif file name error.(Both Fixed)
