Hi, wondering if anyone can help before I ask a professional and shed out money! I live in a house about 4.5 years and always had SKY. The who lived here before said the picture on analogue TV in the lounge is bad but it's fine if you use cabel or SKY.
I would now like to use a digibox in the lounge to save money but as you have guessed the digibox cant pick anything up as siginal so bad.
However, there were 2 tv socket cables in the back bedroom which lead up in to the loft and which worked perfectly for both analogue and digibox which proves there is nothing wrong with the ariel on roof, just the socket in lounge.
We did have the TV set-up in back bedroom but it's no longer convenient. We also had it redecorated and the decorator fed the cable back up into the loft so there is now a fully fuctioning cable stuck in loft.
Aside from starting to drill holes in walls and floor boards to try and feed the working ariel right down from loft in lounge, I am stuck as to know what to do.
I have research a bit about boosters, amplifiers etc but to be honest I don't really understand any of it!!
I am sure there is a simple answer I hope. Could be that the cable going from loft to lounge is damaged but it must be inbetween walls as can't see how it would go up to loft.
Any help appreciated, thanks.
Jennifer.
