Two recent Lexus recalls* in a row. Is Lexus, like Toyota, going down the tube?

* One for leaking fuel tanks that could explode with impact, the other for sudden stalling when in motion, on top of recalls and defects with other Toyota models earlier thias year. If this is Toyota's 'luxury' brand, why can't they get it right?
* Affected models include: GS 350, GS 450h, GS 460, IS 350, LS 460, LS 600h, LS 600h L.

A Lexus is a Toyota!
It is a Toyota for those who have money and can afford to repair them.
So I am not surprised that Lexus has problems, any more then finding out that both Cadillac and Chevrolet are both low quality cars. It is just that one is made for the rich and the other for more common types.

i'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that GM is owned by the government...GM has recalled over 3 million vehicles since the toyota recall started...as many as toyota recalled. interesting that you haven't heard that on the news. also...mercedes just recalled 500,000 vehicles. BMW recalled 225,000 last year. no news on that whatsoever. interesting.

Hats off to Toyota having the balls to do this, Knowing it will hurt sales. How many other makers are keeping quite about their potential death traps!
