Hey so this is probably a question asked by many high schoolers lol but anyway i'm currently in this situation right now so i'm wondering what the best solution is. So there's this EXTREMELYYYY CUTE guy (who happens to be a friend of my ex just a sidenote lol) who is one year younger than me. I've seen him around many times and I thought he was just the hottest and cuttest thing alive. I didn't know he knew I even existed but about a week ago, a close guy friend (who also happens to be his friend) told me that they were talking about me and that he said he liked me and thought i was super cute/hot but when my guy friend asked him if he wanted to ask me to hang out for him, he said no because he will only do that if i like him back. so i was really happy to hear this and we started making more eye contact (like he looks at me every time we pass each other) at school but no more than that. i added him on facebook (lame hahah) and he accepted but whenever he's online, i don't get the guts to talk to him 
oh, and he told my close guy friend that i should talk to him first.
sorry that was so long, but my final question is: should i go ahead and talk to him first or is he just being careless? i think he just wants to know if i like him back and stuff but i'm not sure so what do you think?? by the way, he's very shy and i'm very shy too hahah so that might just be the problem. thanks everybody
