Ugh, ads and websites keep popping up??? PLEASE HELP!?

OK. so I downloaded Mozilla Firefox today because I've heard many good things about it. I like it so far but websites keep popping up. Yesterday, I downloaded Malwarebytes' Anti Malwere and it found 93 infected items. Can anyone give me a FREE anti virus or a program that will stop these websites from coming up? I would like to install a free yet effective program/anti virus.

Oh, yeah and the websites pop up while i'm at mozilla firefox. For example i was on youtube and a webpage calle Pain 101 comes up lol.

avira is a good antivirus.i have used it.you probably need to get SUPERantispyware to go with malwarebytes.firefox has an addon called add blocker plus that blocks popups.
