So there's this guy I have a thing for. Very long story short, nobody knows which way he swings. To gauge his reaction, I flirted with him constantly and made it obvious I like him, and let's just say he was very receptive. (He knows I'm gay.)
Recently at a party, we happened to be alone together, so I took the opportunity to ask him if he was gay. He said he honestly wasn't sure, but he thought he might be bi. I asked him flirtatiously, "Well, would you like to find out?" Flirting back, he readily agreed...so then we made out.
When we came up for air, I asked him if that gave him his answer. He said he was now more confused than ever, scampered away, and looked distraught the rest of the party.
Being the idiot that I am, I disregarded the implications for him, and feel terrible. I texted him apologizing, which he accepted, and told him if he needed help, I was there. I'm going to call him to make sure he's ok, but does anybody have any more advice on how to handle it?
Oh, and one more thing, I'm NOT going to try and pursue a relationship with him--if he really is as confused as he says, I know that it's probably not a good idea.
But since I know what he's going through, what can I do to help him? Has anybody else ever been in this kind of situation before, on either end?
