not sure if Eriksson was considered a rookie last season but...

I'd say Wheeler or even Stamkos ( a lot of people just remember how bad he was at the beginning of the season and not how hot he was the 2nd half)

... you're right about Brassard though; 25 pts in 31 gms .. he really went under the radar probably b/c of the team he's on

**actually no, Eriksson played more than a hundred games before last season started...

Also, Nikolai Kulemin had a good year by rookie standards..seems like a guy that can end up being a star in the league

Title really says it all, Who do you think flew under the radar this past season and maybe didn't receive the honorable mention they deserved???

My choices:
Loui Eriksson for Dallas, he was there lead goal scorer, says it all.

Derick Brassard for CBJ. Kinda homer answer but his season did get cut short and i think the number was 30 games played and 25 points...probably won the nod for centering Rick Nash's line this upcoming season.
Then that could be a bonus: Is Loui Eriksson considered a 'rookie' last year? 08-09

Filatov from Columbus, Alzner from Washington, and Pieterangelo from St. Louis.

im gona go out of the box here and post a player who only played 8 NHL games. Nikita Filatov. 8 games, 4 goals. scored in his first game. 1 hat trick. kid has some serious potential.

I'll say Stamkos because so many considered his year to have been horrible but he did pull things together near the end and actually put up some big numbers in that time.
