Can you help me solve this math riddle:
3 friends want to share an apartment. The rent is 3,000 dollars. They paid the manager and told him to talk to the owner and ask him to lower the rent. The manager did. The owner told him to give them back 500 dollars. The manager went back to the 3 friends and gave them only 300 dollars back so he could keep 200 for himself.
So each friend paid 900 dollars... The manager has 200 in his pocket.
900 x 3 = 2700
+ 200 in the managers pocket.
= 2900
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 100 DOLLARS?
Why would you subtract 200?
