Upgraded Internet Service provider and download speed is still the same.?

Ok, last thursday, I upgraded my internet service provider from 3.0 mb/sec to 6.0 mb/sec. Now, i go to download something and it's downloading at 100-150kb/sec. Why is it so slow? And Thursday was the day that the customer support attendant told me that it will be up. It's slower than when I had 3.0mb/sec and downloaded at 200-275kb/sec. What can I do to fix the problem?

Slow internet happens for various reasons. You might have poor hardware connecting your machine to the wall. Maybe your modem-router is not configured correctly.The most effective method for speeding up a comp where possible is just format the hard disk. Also check to see if you have any useless programs. Uninstall them. Run disk cleanup. Check to see what you have in your temp.
