Use Old Telus Phone with New Plan?

I have an HTC P4000 from Telus that I had when I was with them. But after an incident with them my bill ($600+) was sent to collections.

I have not paid off the collections amount, but will in the coming months.

Now, I just got a Telus prepaid phone and plan and was wondering if I can use my HTC P4000 with my prepaid plan.

If so how would I go about doing this,
