Using a Solo Mobile Sim Card on a Telus Phone.?

I have a Telus Blackberry World Edition 8830 and was looking to unlock it and use a solo mobile sim card. Is this possible considering this phone is with Telus? I have a friend that has the EXACT same phone expect its with bell and his is working fine. Thanks.

The WE devices will take a sim card so that they can access the European GSM frequencies which are different than those used in North America. Essentially, these WE phones are CDMA and can't be 'unlocked' but you could certainly give it a try and post back with your results.
