Using Bluetooth from my cell to acess internet on my Mac?

I'm having problems entering the verification number to access the internet thru my cell. My cell only allows for a 6 digit password while my Mac is providing me with an 8 digit password....what can I do?
If it helps, my cell phone company is Helio, and I have the Samsung Drift
